If you’ve been with me for some time, you know I’ve always been an advocate for dating abroad.
Dating is already a fascinating and complex discussion.
Then add moving alllllllll the way across the planet and it becomes even more interesting.
So, I finally edited the vlog on my dating life in South Africa.
On a level of full transparency, this was filmed a few months ago when I first arrived in SA.
Some thannggsss have changed a bit.

This is very interesting for me, as a South African woman. I agree with you that your being American definitely opens up some the conversations. And you are so right about the colourism. It is very problematic. It sounds like you are having such a lovely time.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. As a black American I experienced some of the same on the dating scene when I visited SA. I had an awkward conversation with a native man explaining why light skin is better. I declined the conversation because it has no basis and it’s incredibly stupid. I found most men to be handsome, educated and interesting. I’m here for international love connections!! Enjoy it queen!!
